Space Saving Suggestions
Unfortunately, if you’re fairly limited on space you’re going to have to be selective of the furniture you choose. But don’t worry we’ve got many space-saving suggestions that mean your bathroom design won’t be affected. Have you considered opting for a shower and bath combined unit? This is a great compromise if you haven’t got the space to facilitate both. Another suggestion of ours is to incorporate corner sink or toilet units. Not only is it convent as it takes up less space, but it makes for an interesting design feature. Alternatively, get rid of the need for units in your design by designing an alcove shelving space into the external wall structures.
Incorporate a Modern Lighting Scheme
A lot of homeowners recently have been getting more experimental with their lighting schemes- we don’t blame them! Lighting plays a significant role in the overall feel of a room. During the design stages of your loft conversion, you should consider ways of maximising your light flow. This could be by including windows and skylights in your design. Or by including a modern lighting scheme to illuminate areas in the room where natural light can’t reach. For those of you unsure of where to start; wall lights, strip spotlighting under cabinets and central fixtures are a great starting point.
Save Money by Using Your Existing Plumbing Scheme
You may find it financially beneficial for you to base your new bathroom design around your homes existing plumbing scheme. This means designing a layout for your new bathroom based upon existing pipes by connecting them to the lower floors. Whilst this is great for saving you money it may cost you your desired floor layout if it wasn’t working in your favour. However, it is something you should consider and trial.
