Dormer Loft Conversion in Reigate

This loft conversion was in Reigate surrey; the conversion generally consisted of a Rear elevation dormer plus a hipped dormer to the side elevation that enabled the stairs to flow freely over the existing, which in turn allowed the stairs to feel like an integral part of the home and not like they have been bolted on of which we consider an essential factor.

The conversion created two bedrooms along with an ensuite; a combination of roof/casement windows achieved the free flow of light and ventilation. The existing roofing tiles were reused to the front and side elevations to enable the dormers to blend in perfectly.

Reigate borough council has guidance on their planning portal. On this occasion, the external volume fell within the criteria of permitted development, which means that planning permission would not be required.
